We are commited to the adherence to the Core Philosophies and Guiding Principles

To see the ATUSchool.com - School of Aviation - Mission Statement be accomplished we really had to heed our own advice and determine What challenges we face and what would be required to be PART OF THE SOLUTION rather than part of the problem.

This required the development and internalization of the following core philosophies and guiding principles:

1. We recognize that the mission undertaken here is bigger than ATU – we embrace others (within and outside the industry) and actively seek alliances that will foster the overall mission of providing Quality education and training experiences to men and women throughout the world.

These same individuals will assist us in devising ways to further reduce the barriers that bar individual entry into a successful aviation career.

2. Success is measured by the success of our students. It is not about us… Our success will come by serving others.

3. Options empower people. We are perpetually seeking and providing tools that give our students options.

4. Currently too many dreams of flight are unrealized. We are committed to help people accomplish their flight goals!

Industry numbers now show that 60% of people that start their flight training don’t finish their private license. (in addition, 50% don’t return after their first solo.)

We constantly strive to get those numbers to 100% completion by giving our students a complete support group of ATU Team members and tools.

5. We are committed to providing direct REAL support and coordination in all aspects of the student's learning plan by working with the student and the flight instructor in a coordinated effort to achieve the student's goals.

6. Realizing that the typical student is stuck in a "broken" system, we are committed to giving EACH student the power and responsibility to develop a specific individual learning plan with the ATU Team and to providing the tools necessary to implement and manage the successful completion of that plan.

7. We will work together with industry leaders and innovators to elevate the standards and expectations of the industry as a whole.

8. We have adopted an attitude of ACTIVE INCLUSION and are Ambassadors for the industry. Over the past 20 years, the number of people involved in professional aviation has been declining. We will use every opportunity to educate the public to the fact that aviation is NOT only for the elite and that the miracle and experience of flight is attainable for anyone motivated to achieve it.

9. By adopting a real open door policy and acting as a hub for our students, like minded individuals and companies have access to the strength of an entire village to assist them in achieving their goals and endeavors.

10. Students are NOT alone at ATU – we have integrated an expansive amount of dedicated communication tools and resources so that they always have access to an entire team working with and for them.

11. The ATU Village mentality and support do NOT stop – we will be with you always!

Our students have access to ATU Resources and the ATU Village – ALWAYS!

12. By providing flight students with a Student Bill of Rights, everyone involved is clear as to their Rights, Responsibilities and Rewards.

13. By always searching for Options in the industry we provide our students possibilities and tools that have positive impact on the individual.

14. Students in most contemporary flight schools are set-up for failure from the very beginning.

Our Goal is to give Students, Flight Instructors, FBO's and Educational Institutions access to the Teams, support, resources and infrastructure to change this situation--beginning NOW!
